NO WAY BACK.

With thanks to television, drugs, alcohol and gossip magazines; many people in the twenty-first century believe that being in rehab is like a health spa for alcoholics and drug addicts, where party queens and rock stars are full fledged members. The real rehab centres? Well; if the St. Tristian’s Rehabilitation Centre [or, as the patients like to call it; No Way Back] is anything to go by, then they are anything but glamorous.

The kids here have been so corrupted, physically and/or mentally, that they can’t live normal lives anymore. Newspapers are always talking about how bullying, eating disorders, young alcoholics, teen self harm and many other mental disorders are on the rise. The thing is, some kids manage to get through it all and carry on life as normal. But then there are the rest, who don’t make it through. Their mental scares are so bad that they can’t go to normal schools anymore; so get sent to hell holes like this where they get chased around the place by big sweaty nurses, pinned to the walls by their necks then jabbed with drugs that make them see things that aren’t really there and hear voices in their heads telling them that their lives aren’t worth living anymore so they should just go jump off the roof, not forgetting to mention that nobody would be miss them once they’d been scraped off the floor.

Don’t even bother to try and escape, they’ll only find you in a few hours, maybe a few days if you’re lucky enough. Either way, you’ll find yourself back here soon. Some kids try and brave it out on the streets and others find shelter in the local inn – the owner had a brother who got sent to this hell hole, so she takes pity on any patients who happed to stumble in. The nurses tend to have a habit of appearing whenever you let your guard down. Their favourite is to sneak up of you during the night; either jabbing you in your sleep or purposely waking you up and chasing you around your dorm room [which, might I add, aren't in the greatest condition].

All I can say is if you get out of here; consider yourself very, very lucky.
